Comment: I really like this quote because if a student is not motivated, they will not succeed to the best of their ability in the learning process. As teachers we need to do our best to find out what are students interests are and learn their strengths and weaknesses, to help in the motivation process.
Question: What are some ways we can help motivate students in subjects that they are not interested in but required to learn because of the state core?
I think one way to get students motivated about subjects they are not interested in is to make the learning interactive. Learning from a book can be very dull especially when the student is not already interested in the subject. Doing some kind of science experiment and therefore creating an interactive learning experience could definitely make science more exciting for students who aren't interested in science.
